The HY93SS is a high-performance lithium-ion battery that has been adopted as the standard battery for Suzuki's new street bike, the GSX-8T/TT.
It delivers stable starting performance at temperatures as low as -10°C and achieves a high level of safety with its cell protection function using a proprietary electrolyte. With its long-lasting, maintenance-free design, it addresses the challenges associated with traditional lead-acid batteries, making it a trusted choice for motorcycle starting applications.
Typical lithium-ion batteries tend to experience significant voltage drops in low-temperature environments, resulting in a significant decrease in starting performance.
The HY battEliiy P Series overcomes this issue through proprietary technology, delivering stable starting performance even at -10℃. While lead-acid batteries are generally known to outperform typical lithium-ion batteries in cold conditions, the HY battEliiy P Series demonstrates even better cold-start performance.
Riders can enjoy smooth starts in cold regions or during winter touring, without the need for troublesome procedures *.
*Such as repeatedly turning the motorcycle's ignition switch on and off, or leaving the headlights on for a long period of time.
The HY battEliiy P Series features exceptionally low self-discharge, making it highly resistant to battery depletion even during long-term storage. In most cases, supplementary charging is required.
Compared to lead-acid batteries, it requires much less maintenance.
* Depending on the vehicle’s standby power consumption after the ignition is turned off, occasional charging may be necessary.
The HY93SS is designed with a replaceable fuse.
Even in the event of an overcurrent, there’s no need to replace the battery itself.
Simply replace the fuse to restore normal operation.

Generally, batteries deteriorate with repeated use, and their internal resistance increases, leading to reduced starting performance.
In contrast, the HY battEliiy P Series maintains stable output over the long term with minimal changes in internal resistance even after repeated charging and discharging cycles.
Even after more than 1,000 charge/discharge cycles, it maintains the same level of performance as when new, ensuring reliable engine starts and demonstrating exceptional longevity.
* Charge/discharge cycle: One cycle refers to fully charging the battery to 100%, then discharging it to 0%, and finally recharging it to full capacity.
Starter batteries are products that riders may come into direct contact with, making safety a top priority.
The HY battEliiy P series applies the technology developed by ELLIY Power in stationary batteries to achieve extremely high safety: it does not emit smoke or fire, even when punctured or crushed.
Our newly developed “SyncCell” features a proprietary electrolyte called "Self-Syncing Electrolyte Technology," which allows each cell to self-regulate and synchronize to the optimal voltage, even when voltage imbalance occurs.
In case of overvoltage, the cell automatically increases its internal resistance to cut off the current flow.
A BMU (Battery Management Unit) is a device that monitors and controls batteries, preventing overcharging and over-discharging while maintaining voltage balance across cells. However, as a company founded with the goal of promoting the widespread adoption of high-safety lithium-ion batteries, we have maintained a record of zero battery-related accidents since our inception. The realization of BMU-less design is a testament to our technical excellence and confidence in achieving high safety standards.
