First and foremost, ELIIY Power makes safety a top priority in the development of our products.
All large-size lithium-ion electricity storage battery cells included in each of our electricity storage systems are manufactured at our plant in Japan.
Olivine-type lithium iron phosphate, which offers superior safety, is used as a material for cathode. Our lithium-ion electricity storage batteries are the first of their type in the world to have passed international certification organization TÜV Rheinland ’s product safety test.
In the event of a loss of function with the battery management unit (BMU), we believe it is most essential to ensure that the battery cells remain safe, and we are therefore developing and manufacturing batteries that meet high safety standards - even if punctured with a needle (internal short-circuit), crushed, or overcharged, there is no risk of thermal runaway and they do not catch fire.
Our battery cells have a guaranteed long service life, boasting an 80.1%* capacity retention after repeated use for 10 years, or approximately 12,000 times. You can feel secure about using them for a long time.
*This is an estimated service hour of the battery cell at room temperature (23℃), The capacity retention of the battery cells may change depending on the usage condition of the energy storage system (e.g. frequency of charging/discharging, operating environment, etc.).
The actual electrical capacity of the energy storage system may differ from the total electrical capacity of the battery cells built into the system because of the system usage condition.

Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of several Ah, which are commonly used in devices such as laptop computers and cell phones, are known as small-size lithium-ion batteries. Conversely, batteries with a capacity at least 10 times or greater - like ELIIY Power’s batteries - are generally known as large-size lithium-ion batteries.
Large-size lithium-ion batteries have various advantages: for example, few batteries are used when constructing electricity storage systems, and they provide for easier control.
