“Our company’s dream is to do work that serves mankind and society.”
This is one of the “ELIIY Power Ten Rules,” the code of conduct we have stipulated for ELIIY Power employees.
The global population, which was only 200 or 300 million in 1 A.D., broke the 1 billion barrier in the latter half of the 18th century. Since then, the world’s population has exploded, breaking the 7 billion barrier in 2011, and is expected to reach around 10 billion by 2050.
If we do not take some kind of measures, it is believed that food, environmental, and resource issues will grow more severe in the future.
The oil era has lasted for a long time, but various new technologies have appeared through scientific innovation, and it has now become possible to use the Earth’s finite resources more efficiently, as follows:
“Saving energy” : reducing consumption of energy as much as possible.
“Creating energy” : obtaining electricity from renewable energy and the like.
“Storing energy” : storing and using electricity in an efficient manner.
We believe that combining these can contribute to the resolution of various problems.
It would be extremely useful to have a social infrastructure that featured decentralized energy thanks to the use of electricity storage, which would play an active role not just in everyday use (peak shifting, peak cutting, etc.) but also for backup power in the event of disasters.
By promoting our high-capacity lithium-ion batteries for electricity storage, we will contribute to more efficient energy usage in Japan and around the world.
