Company History

2006

28 September: Founded by a group of four Keio University research project members, including Yoshida, with capital stock of ¥15 million.

2007-
2008

Completes the first lithium-ion battery cell.
Completes the electriccity strage system prototype.

2009

25 September: Opened Kansai Office (Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture).
Opened Technology Development Center (Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture).

26 November: Delivered the first stand-alone lithium-ion EV charging station to Kanagawa Prefectural Government.

2010

6 April: Completion of Kawasaki Plant 1 in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture with capacity to produce 200,000 cells per year.

19 May: Launched POWER YIILE large-size lithium-ion electricity storage system.

29 September: POWER YIILE PLUS receives a Good Design Award 2010.

2011

12 August: Awarded the world's first-ever TÜV-S Mark safety standard certification for a large-size lithium-ion battery from international third-party testing and certification organization TÜV Rheinland Japan.

2012

30 March: The POWER YIILE PLUS large-size lithium-ion electricity storage system obtains first certification through a subsidy from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

21 November: Announcement of the development of the Power Storager 10 general-purpose electricity storage system for industrial use.

2013

7 January: POWER YIILE PLUS receives a 2012 Nikkei Superior Products & Services Award (Nikkei Business Daily Award).

18 February: Announcement of the launch of the POWER iE 6 stationary electricity storage system.

18 March: The Kawasaki Office receives the 2012 (19th) City of Kawasaki commendation for contributions to urban landscape development.

4 July: Obtains certification for wide-area collection and transport of general and industrial waste from the Ministry of the Environment.

1 October: POWER iE 6 receives a Good Design Award 2013.

2014

April: Demonstration of bullet penetration test of the battery cell.

September: Launches ELIIY ONE portable electricity storage system.

October Announces the partnership with Enphase Energy in distributed electricity storage systems.

November: ELIIY ONE receives a Good Design Award 2014.

2015

April: Launches POWER iE6 HYBRID solar power generation/electricity storage hybrid system.

2016

January: Signs Deal to be a Technical Sponsor of Honda Racing Corporation.

April: Launches POWER YIILE 3 electricity storage system for indoor use.

September: POWER YIILE 3 receives a Good Design Award 2016.

October: Adoption of HY93 Lithium-Ion Starter Battery in Honda's Mass-Produced Motorcycles for the first time.

December: POWER YIILE 3 receives a JIDA Design Museum Selection Vol.18"Gold Selection Award".

2017

January: A book about Eliiy Power brought out:

June: Lithium-ion starter battery HY85S for motorcycle is equipped with Honda 2018 model CRF450R/RX as standard.

4 October: Lithium-ion starter battery “HY series battery” receives a Good Design Award 2017.

2018

29 January: Launches POWER iE5 Link electricity storage hybrid system.

June: Lithium-ion starter battery HY110 for motorcycle is equipped with Honda 2018 model CRF1000L Africa Twin as standard.

15 March: Mazda, ELIIY Power and Ube Industries Agree to Jointly Develop 12-Volt Lithium-ion Starter Batteries for Vehicles.

3 October: POWER iE5 Link receives a Good Design Award 2018.

2019

February: Launches POWER YIILE HEYA wall mounting electricity storage system for indoor use.

August: Launches POWER YIILE HEYA S electricity storage system for indoor use.

2 October: POWER YIILE HEYA receives a Good Design Award 2019.

2021

February: Launches Power Storager D20 general-purpose electricity storage system for industrial use.
